Business Development Manager – Steel Trade (Kazakhstan)

About the role

Drive business development across Kazakhstan, identifying lucrative opportunities in the steel sector, focusing on hot‑rolled coil (HRC), cold‑rolled coil (CRC), galvanized (GI) and pre‑painted galvanized (PPGI) products.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and technical consultation to contract negotiation, closing and long‑term account management.
• Analyse Kazakhstani market dynamics, import regulations, competitor positioning and regional demand to develop localized sales strategies.
• Collaborate with supply‑chain, logistics and finance teams to navigate customs processes and ensure seamless order fulfilment.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with existing clients while aggressively expanding market share to exceed sales targets.
• Represent the company at major trade events and industry associations to enhance brand visibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Fluent English for business communication.
• Minimum 3 years of international steel trading experience with a proven track record in import/export.
• Strong negotiation abilities, commercial acumen and an established network within the Kazakhstani steel industry.
• Self‑starter, resilient and comfortable with frequent travel and occasional regional trips.
