Restaurant Operations Supervisor

About the role

The Restaurant Operations Supervisor ensures that the dining area runs smoothly, staff work together as a team, and guests receive the high‑standard service expected at The Ritz‑Carlton. This full‑time position combines operational oversight, staff coaching, and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate staff to deliver optimal service and meet guest needs.
• Inspect employee grooming, attire and correct deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, and securing the restaurant.
• Check storage areas for organization, FIFO usage and cleanliness; conduct inventories and requisition supplies.
• Oversee dining room seating, service flow, safety and guest wellbeing.
• Complete work orders for maintenance repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling and disciplining employees.
• Enforce company safety, security and uniform policies; report incidents and complete required training.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist guests with disabilities and express genuine appreciation.
• Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency, productivity, quality and cost‑savings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum two years of relevant food‑and‑beverage experience.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
