Hotel General Manager – Overseas Property

About the role

Echeng Hotel Management is seeking an experienced Hotel General Manager to take full ownership of an overseas property, guiding it from pre‑opening through launch and into steady‑state operations. You will build the local team, interpret market dynamics, and ensure the brand delivers its promise on the ground.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the complete property lifecycle: pre‑opening, launch, and day‑to‑day operations.
• Conduct in‑depth local market analysis and develop competitive business plans.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a cross‑cultural team while maintaining brand service standards.
• Manage relationships with local authorities, partners, and guests, handling incidents and crisis communications.
• Ensure full compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of operations management experience with a chain hotel group.
• Strong cross‑cultural communication, business acumen, and leadership abilities.
• Proven decision‑making skills, capable of motivating teams and resolving conflicts in diverse environments.
• Working proficiency in Chinese; experience with Chinese hotel groups or brands overseas is preferred.
• Fluency in English or additional languages is a plus.
• Willingness to commit to long‑term overseas assignments, resilient under pressure and adaptable to fast‑changing environments.
