Audit Manager – Leading Professional Services Firm

About the role

Deloitte Kazakhstan is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead audit engagements across its offices in Astana, Almaty, Aktau, Atyrau and Tashkent. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality audit services in line with Deloitte methodologies, IFRS, ISA and local regulatory requirements while building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high‑quality outcomes.
• Lead engagement planning, risk assessment, execution and completion.
• Review work performed by engagement teams, providing technical guidance and coaching.
• Maintain client relationships and act as the primary point of contact throughout engagements.
• Identify and resolve complex accounting, auditing and reporting issues.
• Ensure compliance with Deloitte audit methodology, professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review engagement budgets, monitor profitability and allocate resources effectively.
• Communicate progress, risks and issues to Partners and Directors.
• Participate in business development, proposal preparation and client presentations.
• Support recruitment, performance management and career development of audit professionals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent) completed or in progress.
• Minimum 5 years of external audit experience, preferably in a professional services firm.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISA and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience managing audit engagements and leading teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and English language skills.
• High level of professional integrity and accountability.
