National Consultant – Capacity Building on UK Seasonal Worker Scheme

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a National Consultant to lead the delivery of targeted capacity‑building sessions on the United Kingdom Seasonal Worker Scheme (SWS) and ethical recruitment practices. The consultant will update training materials, incorporate the latest UK SWS regulations and tax‑refund procedures, and facilitate three workshops in Almaty, Astana, and Shymkent.

Key responsibilities

• Review and revise existing IOM training modules on the UK SWS, adding current regulatory and tax‑refund information.
• Develop a concise training implementation plan outlining delivery methods, participant engagement, practical exercises, and schedule.
• Conduct three capacity‑building workshops in Almaty, Astana, and Shymkent, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
• Provide post‑workshop feedback and recommendations for further improvement.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in labour mobility, ethical recruitment, and migration governance.
• In‑depth knowledge of the UK Seasonal Worker Scheme and related compliance requirements.
• Experience designing and delivering training or capacity‑building programmes.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Chief of Mission in Kazakhstan and the Project Manager.
