About the role

The company seeks an experienced Head of Contract Management on a temporary basis to lead contract activities for oil and gas exploration and production projects. The role involves overseeing the full contract lifecycle, from strategy development to post‑award management, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop contract strategies, tender documentation, and request for quotation materials before contract award.
• Manage awarded contracts, monitor contractor performance, cost, and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Resolve claims, disputes, and non‑conformities; handle contract changes, amendments, and closures.
• Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, safety standards, and business ethics.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, audit, occupational safety, local content, and project teams.
• Lead and mentor the contract management team, driving continuous improvement processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, law, economics, finance, commerce or business administration; master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
• MCIPS Level 6 certification or equivalent recognized qualification.
• 9–11 years of experience in oil & gas exploration or production projects, both on‑shore and offshore.
• 9–11 years of procurement and supply‑chain management experience, covering pre‑ and post‑award phases.
• Proven track record managing complex contract packages exceeding USD 150 million.
• Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, KPI reporting, and supplier management.
• English proficiency at least Upper‑Intermediate.

Required skills

• MCIPS Level 6 certification
• Upper‑Intermediate English language skills
