HSE Supervisor

About the role

The HSE Supervisor will lead health, safety and environment activities on a Kazakhstan site, ensuring compliance with Mars standards and local legislation. You will foster a proactive safety culture, implement risk‑management programs, and drive continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental performance.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the site Safety Professional for the assigned project.
• Support implementation and maintenance of the site HSE Management System.
• Monitor compliance with Kazakhstan legislation, corporate standards, permits and internal procedures.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, safety observations and risk assessments.
• Coordinate incident reporting, investigations, root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action tracking.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, safety campaigns and awareness programs.
• Ensure contractors, visitors and third parties comply with site HSE requirements.
• Maintain HSE documentation, records, statistics, permits and legal compliance registers.
• Participate in emergency preparedness programs, fire safety systems, drills and evacuation exercises.
• Support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management system implementation and maintenance.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of HSE experience in manufacturing, FMCG, industrial or construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan occupational safety, industrial safety, environmental and fire safety legislation.
• Practical experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Experience in incident investigations, risk assessments and contractor safety management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering or related field.
