Data Scientist, Antifraud

About the role

Higgsfield AI, a fast-growing generative AI company, is hiring a Data Scientist, Antifraud to protect its business from account abuse on unlimited-generation plans. The role distinguishes genuine heavy users from organised operators running hundreds of accounts, catching abuse before compute is wasted and designing enforcement actions that are precise, reversible and defensible.

Key responsibilities

• Own the account-abuse scoring system end to end: signals, weights, thresholds, monitoring and recalibration, with detection that fires early and is explained in dollars.
• Combine linkage (who is connected to whom) and economics (what they consume); build entity resolution and ring detection around shared payment instruments, IPs, email stems, registration bursts and automation signatures.
• Design graduated, reversible actions such as throttling, rate limiting, verification steps, holds, pre-grant refusals and bans, and own the false-positive budget and appeal paths.
• Partner with Payments, Support and Legal, and measure the system in money avoided (COGS) while running holdouts and monitoring for adversarial adaptation.
• Ship scores and reasons that survive external audits, and work in SQL, Python and BigQuery on raw event, payment and generation data.

Required profile

• Experience building abuse, fraud or trust-and-safety detection that acted on real users (payments fraud, promo abuse, multi-accounting, account takeover).
• Strong SQL and Python on raw event data, and comfort with graph and linkage thinking.
• Precision-first evaluation instincts and unit-economics literacy (gross margin per account, compute costs).
• Clear written and spoken English, B2+.
• Backgrounds that often fit: fraud/risk data scientists, trust and safety teams, growth/product data scientists, or analysts from payment processors or chargeback operations.
