Business Development Manager – Central Asia & Caucasus

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Regional Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth across Kazakhstan and the wider Central Asian and Caucasus region. The role focuses on expanding our freight forwarding, supply chain, and logistics services while building strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional business development strategies to meet revenue, gross profit and market share targets.
• Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities across air, ocean and road freight, customs brokerage, warehousing and supply chain solutions.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline, lead customer acquisition, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and oversee implementation.
• Manage and grow strategic accounts, conduct regular business reviews and ensure exceptional customer experience.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities to shape penetration strategies for target industries.
• Collaborate with operations, finance and product teams to design competitive logistics solutions and support tender management.
• Mentor local sales and pricing teams, share market insights and foster a collaborative, customer‑focused culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing or related field.
• 7‑10 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain sales.
• Proven success in business development and strategic account management.
• Fluent in English and Russian; Kazakh language knowledge is a plus.
