Chief Executive Officer (Successor)

About the role

The Chief Executive Officer will lead GSM Kazakhstan, shaping market strategy, driving commercial performance and ensuring operational excellence while aligning with global governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own overall P&L, develop and execute the Kazakhstan business strategy in line with GSM Global direction.
• Lead market growth, expand into new cities and services, and balance profitability with operational capacity.
• Build and develop a high‑performing leadership team, establish clear accountability and performance culture.
• Ensure compliance with global policies, manage risks, and maintain transparent reporting to the Head Office.
• Represent GSM Kazakhstan with government, regulators and strategic partners, safeguarding corporate reputation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred.
• 10–15+ years of progressive leadership experience with full P&L ownership, preferably as CEO, Country Manager or Business Unit Head.
• Proven track record in scaling or transforming high‑volume businesses, ideally in mobility, ride‑hailing, logistics or technology platforms.
• Experience working in Kazakhstan, Central Asia or the CIS region and within a matrix/global organization.
• Fluent in English; Russian and Kazakh strongly preferred.
