Senior Accountant

About the role

Pure Escapes is seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join its Finance team in Kazakhstan. The role supports the company’s luxury travel partners across multiple markets and requires strong communication and analytical abilities in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with Kazakhstan accounting standards and tax legislation.
• Prepare and submit statutory financial statements and tax reports.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor cash flow and provide accurate financial forecasting.
• Maintain timely tax filings (VAT, CIT, payroll taxes, etc.).
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Support budgeting and financial planning processes.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff where applicable.

Required profile

• Higher education in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Certified Professional Accountant qualification.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or chief accountant role.
• Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan accounting and tax legislation.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Fluency in Russian; English is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 1C accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience using ERP/accounting systems.
