Legal Manager – Kazakhstan (CA EM & CAU)

About the role

The Legal Manager will partner with the Head of Legal & Compliance and local leadership to steer legal processes that support business priorities while safeguarding Sandoz Kazakhstan and its customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead legal processes in collaboration with senior leadership to align business priorities with legal compliance.
• Provide guidance on external legal requirements and Sandoz policies, ensuring consistent decision‑making.
• Drive simplification and clarification of Sandoz Kazakhstan policies and processes.
• Conduct trainings on topics such as Dawn Raid Guidance, Fair Competition, Pharmaceutical Advertising, and legal onboarding.
• Maintain corporate governance, including accreditation, permits, and reporting.
• Update and manage Legal SharePoint sites and contract templates for interactions with HCPs, HCOs, vendors, pharmacy chains, and distributors.
• Adapt global templates to local needs and oversee contract drafting, review, and compliance.
• Monitor legislative changes in Kazakhstan, advise leadership, and liaise with state authorities.
• Manage disputes, litigation, and legal reporting tools such as litigation trackers and statutory registers.

Required profile

• Graduate of a Kazakhstan law school.
• Fluent in Kazakh, Russian and English.
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in healthcare/pharmaceuticals, a top‑tier law firm, or an international company.
• Proven experience managing legal work and projects.

• SharePoint (legal site administration and document management).
