Legal Counsel

About the role

Roche is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide day‑to‑day legal and compliance support to the business. You will act as the first point of contact for routine matters, translating legal requirements into practical guidance and ensuring timely execution of business activities.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, comment on and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including confidentiality, service, consultancy, HCP/HCO, sponsorship and procurement agreements.
• Maintain contract workflow and repository, track approvals, signatures, renewals and key obligations.
• Provide operational legal support on commercial, corporate, employment, data privacy, regulatory and promotional matters.
• Support corporate housekeeping, statutory records, board documentation and legal reporting.
• Assist with compliance processes, risk assessments, monitoring, training and third‑party due diligence.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day interaction with external counsel, including advice requests and invoice administration.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) required; LL.M. a plus.
• 3–5 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or in‑house role, preferably in life sciences or a regulated industry.
• Hands‑on experience in contract drafting, corporate matters, legal research and day‑to‑day advisory work.
• Strong attention to detail, disciplined document and deadline management, and ability to identify and appropriately escalate risks.
