Junior Sales Engineer – Support Regional Account Manager

About the role

As a Junior Sales Engineer you will support the Regional Account Manager in developing customer relationships, managing sales opportunities and providing both commercial and technical assistance. The role strengthens NOV’s local presence as the business grows in Kazakhstan and offers hands‑on experience across the full sales cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Regional Account Manager in managing assigned customers, accounts and sales opportunities.
• Build strong local customer relationships through regular visits, meetings, presentations and follow‑up activities.
• Develop technical and product knowledge to support customers with application‑related needs.
• Collaborate with internal technical, engineering and operations teams to develop appropriate solutions.
• Assist with quotations, proposals, presentations and maintain accurate CRM data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Technical Studies or a related field.
• At least 1 year of field or related experience in drilling operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Russian or local language a plus.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.

Required skills

• Experience with drilling tools and directional drilling.
• Knowledge of downhole applications.
• Proficiency with CRM systems.
