Business Development Manager - China

About the role

Based in Atyrau, the Business Development Manager – China will lead ALE Kazakhstan’s growth with Chinese clients and partners across heavy‑lifting, transport and engineering projects. The role focuses on expanding market presence in oil & gas, mining, power, infrastructure and renewable energy sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities with Chinese stakeholders.
• Conduct market research and prepare client presentations and tailored proposals.
• Coordinate with internal engineering, operations and commercial teams to deliver solutions.
• Lead negotiations, manage the sales pipeline, and report progress.
• Support bid and tender processes and ensure high standards of service delivery.
• Represent ALE Kazakhstan at industry events and align regional strategies with global teams.

Required profile

• Proven business development or key account management experience in industrial sectors such as oil & gas, mining, power generation, infrastructure or heavy industry.
• Strong relationship‑building and negotiation skills with decision‑makers in Chinese and international companies.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (written and spoken); Russian or Kazakh is a plus.
• Willingness and ability to quickly learn complex heavy‑lifting, transport and engineering services.
• Ability to work on‑site in Atyrau.
