Cook – Full‑Time Kitchen Position

About the role

The Cook will join the kitchen team at The Ritz‑Carlton in Almaty, preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while maintaining the brand’s high standards of quality, presentation, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring and mixing according to recipes.
• Cook food using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, testing for doneness and ensuring consistent quality.
• Prepare cold foods, set‑up and break down work stations, and serve portions onto appropriate receptacles.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, including tools, knives, equipment and work surfaces.
• Monitor appliance and food temperatures, follow safety policies, report incidents and complete required safety training.
• Collaborate with team members, communicate professionally and support a positive working atmosphere.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related kitchen or food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
