ML/AI Engineering Team Lead

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned ML/AI Engineering Team Lead to steer our AI/ML engineering unit. You will coordinate a team of engineers, design scalable solutions, and ensure delivery of high‑impact projects for our clients while working remotely from anywhere in Kazakhstan.

Key responsibilities

• Strategize, plan and deliver MLOps initiatives in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Design, develop and deploy complex AI/ML solutions on cloud infrastructure using MLOps workflows and tools.
• Create infrastructure and architecture diagrams and allocate tasks to junior ML engineers.
• Promote best coding practices, conduct code reviews, and establish model management standards.
• Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies and suggest process improvements.
• Support recruitment and interview processes for junior and senior ML engineers.

Required profile

• Proven production experience in AI/ML engineering and team leadership.
• Strong communication skills to interact with senior business stakeholders and customers.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment and mentor junior team members.

Required skills

• CI/CD pipelines and Core Data Ops.
• Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes.
• Machine learning model development and MLOps.
• Cloud infrastructure (GCP, Azure, AWS).
• ML engineering tools and practices.
