Head of Key Account Department – Nutrition Business

About the role

Abbott’s Nutrition Business in Almaty is seeking a dynamic leader to head the Key Account Department. You will be responsible for driving growth across key retail chains and distributors, ensuring the delivery of our science‑based nutrition products to consumers throughout Kazakhstan.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic and tactical plans for existing key accounts and distributors.
• Lead commercial negotiations and build long‑term partnerships with retail chains and distributors.
• Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual KPIs for the Kazakhstan market.
• Plan, analyse and monitor sales performance, costs, and P&L of distributors and key retail chains.
• Manage marketing budget expenditures and sales‑driving initiatives.
• Control distributor inventory levels to improve service across retail chains.
• Identify, evaluate and contract new distributors based on market analysis.
• Prepare regular performance reports and business reviews.
• Lead and manage the sales team, including Key Account Managers, Supervisors and the Sales Coordinator.

Required profile

• Higher education degree.
• Strong knowledge of the Kazakhstan FMCG market with proven experience managing key accounts and distributors.
• Excellent negotiation and client persuasion abilities.
• Experience recruiting and contracting new distributors.
• Proven track record managing distributor budgets and inventory levels.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Results‑oriented, proactive and highly ethical.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams.
