Technical Service Specialist – Sealing & Bonding (Almaty)

About the role

Sika, a specialty chemicals company active in the building sector and industrial manufacturing, is looking for a Technical Service Specialist for its Sealing & Bonding business in Almaty. The role supports Sika's goal of deeper market penetration in the sealants and bonders market by providing expert on-site technical application and customer support, helping win significant projects and build strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support to customers, contractors and applicators at construction sites and points of sale
• Manage and resolve complex technical challenges in the field and promote the best solutions for each customer
• Investigate customer problems, complaints and product performance issues promptly
• Support the sales team with product sampling, demonstrations and trials, and help follow up on projects and specifications
• Organise and run product presentations, seminars and hands-on training sessions
• Stay up to date on local market trends, construction standards and competitor activity

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in construction chemicals, focused on sealants, bonders and construction foams
• Solution-oriented, able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage several tasks
• Kazakh and Russian are mandatory; English is preferred

• Profound knowledge of sealants, bonders and foams application
• Ability to build and maintain internal and external networks
