Tax Manager – Central Asia & Mongolia (CAM)

About the role

JTI is seeking a Tax Manager for the Central Asia & Mongolia (CAM) cluster to lead tax strategy implementation across multiple jurisdictions. You will work closely with global tax, local finance teams, external advisors and tax authorities to ensure compliance and support business initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage tax strategies covering corporate tax, indirect taxes, excise, customs, transfer pricing and tax risk management.
• Review and update business models and monitor legislative changes across the CAM cluster.
• Prepare tax returns, support audits, and handle tax authority interactions.
• Coordinate transfer pricing reporting, pricing methodology and related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with JSOX controls, walkthroughs and reconciliations.
• Provide tax recommendations for current and planned business activities.
• Support tax projects aimed at risk mitigation and legislative adaptation.
• Collaborate with legal and external advisors on administrative and judicial tax matters.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate tax, indirect tax, excise, customs, transfer pricing and tax risk management.
• Strong knowledge of tax legislation and ability to assess impact of regulatory changes.
• Experience working with global tax functions, local finance teams and external consultants.
• Ability to prepare tax documentation, objections and support tax audits.
