Statutory Reporting Analyst

About the role

The Statutory Reporting Analyst will lead the accounting team in delivering accurate financial statements and ensuring compliance with Kazakhstani accounting and tax regulations. This role supports month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes while driving continuous improvement of finance controls.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic guidance to the accounting function, overseeing daily financial processes.
• Prepare and analyse balance sheets, income statements and cash‑flow statements in line with local standards.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing cycles, including journal entries, reconciliations and accruals.
• Monitor changes to Kazakhstani tax and accounting regulations and update internal policies accordingly.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, supplying required documentation and resolving issues.
• Reconcile sub‑ledgers to the general ledger and maintain the chart of accounts.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, segregation of duties and fraud‑prevention measures.
• Mentor finance staff, fostering professional growth and high performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, audit or statutory reporting.
• Higher education in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Technical or Mathematics.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CFA, ADIT, ACA or DipIFR are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of tax legislation, IFRS and local statutory accounting standards.
• Intermediate proficiency in English.
