Senior Fintech Legal Counsel – Payments

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Fintech Legal Counsel to lead the legal and regulatory aspects of our payments agenda. You will drive the launch of cashless and wallet products across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance while supporting commercial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regulatory analysis for hard and light cashless implementations.
• Review and negotiate contracts with PSPs for cashless product launches.
• Collaborate with tax and LBP teams to ensure tax efficiency and mitigate labour law risks.
• Provide legal support for wallet launches and audit existing PSP contracts.
• Develop best‑practice guidelines for PSP agreements.

Required profile

• 4–7 years post‑qualification experience, with at least 3 years focused on payments or fintech regulation.
• Experience in a law firm or in‑house legal department of a global business.
• Strong knowledge of payments and e‑money regulation across multiple regions.
• Proven ability to advise product, finance, tax and business stakeholders on new launches.
• Full professional fluency in Russian and English, law degree and admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
