Senior Accountant

About the role

TMF Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Kazakhstan. You will provide comprehensive accounting and tax services to a dedicated client pool, ensuring compliance with local regulations and high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accounting and tax services to assigned clients in strict accordance with service agreements.
• Develop, adapt and optimise procedures to improve service efficiency.
• Prepare and submit tax, statistical, and National Bank reports, as well as documents for foreign‑exchange control for complex clients.
• Provide expert advice on accounting and tax matters.
• Lead and mentor junior members of the accounting team, fostering their professional growth.
• Control the quality and timeliness of the team’s work, including document processing, payment orders, and regulatory filings.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• In‑depth knowledge of Kazakhstani accounting legislation, tax law, IFRS, foreign‑exchange regulation and the Administrative Offences Code.

Required skills

• Proficient user of 1C: Accounting (experience with other ERP systems is a plus).
• Experience with online banking platforms and tax‑reporting software.
• High computer literacy, especially MS Office and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
