Sales Manager - Underground Equipment

About the role

Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology in Kazakhstan is looking for a Sales Manager for underground equipment in Almaty. The role drives sales growth of underground drilling equipment, loaders and trucks across the CIS region by building customer relationships, spotting business opportunities and increasing Sandvik's market share.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run the sales strategy for underground equipment, analysing customer needs and opportunities
• Monitor competitors, market trends and customer trends to support competitive commercial and technical solutions
• Manage customer opportunities in CRM, including inquiry registration, opportunity tracking, order follow-up and interaction analysis
• Visit customers and mines regularly to gather operational feedback
• Take part in tenders and lead the preparation, coordination and negotiation of proposals, contracts and specifications
• Execute the annual sales plan and meet sales and order targets
• Maintain records of installed equipment and future investment plans
• Coordinate deliveries with logistics and service teams and provide after-sales support, including payment follow-up and accounts receivable
• Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders and product lines

Required profile

• At least 3 years in a similar sales role or in complex B2B sales
• Proven experience developing and running sales strategies, adapting to market changes
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• Intermediate English or above; willingness to travel frequently across the region
• Ability to work in a multicultural, cross-functional environment
• Preferred: mining industry experience, knowledge of the underground equipment market, and experience with Salesforce or another CRM
