Risk Assurance Associate

About the role

Join PwC's Risk Assurance team in Almaty as an Associate, helping clients evaluate and strengthen their digital environments, internal controls, and governance. You will work on a variety of projects that blend audit, technology, and risk management to build trust in clients' systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical IT controls reviews, covering databases, operating systems, data warehouses and reporting tools.
• Review business‑process controls and assess their effectiveness.
• Assist clients in optimizing risk and internal‑control activities, including control effectiveness and efficiency.
• Document work performed and submit deliverables for supervisory review within established deadlines.
• Maintain strong client relationships and actively participate in client meetings and negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, AIS, MIS, Computer Science or a related field with a GPA of at least 3.0.
• Fluent spoken and written Russian and English; Kazakh language is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑structuring abilities.
• Willingness to travel, work overtime and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
