Regional HR & SHEQ Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Regional HR & SHEQ Manager to join our Central Asia leadership team. In this role you will partner with business leaders to build a safe, high‑performing, and engaged organization across Kazakhstan and the wider Central Asian region.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a regional HR strategy aligned with business goals and the People & Leadership Council.
• Partner with leaders on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness and business transformation.
• Develop a strong leadership pipeline through talent management, succession planning, performance management and learning initiatives.
• Foster an inclusive, people‑centric culture that drives employee engagement, wellbeing and retention.
• Lead the regional SHEQ function, ensuring compliance with Group standards, local legislation and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Promote safety culture, risk management, incident prevention, audits and continuous improvement.
• Build relationships with service technicians and frontline staff through site visits, coaching and visible leadership.
• Ensure robust HR governance, ethical business practices and continuous improvement of HR processes.
• Use HR and SHEQ data, analytics and KPIs to support business decisions and improve performance.
• Lead and develop the regional HR & SHEQ team while strengthening cross‑functional collaboration.

Required profile

• 8–10+ years of HR leadership experience, preferably in industrial, mining, manufacturing or multinational environments.
• Proven experience leading regional or multi‑country HR organizations.
• Strong exposure to SHEQ, HSE or safety‑focused operations.
• Experience supporting service organisations and operational teams.
• Strong business acumen and leadership capabilities.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Expertise in SHEQ compliance and safety management.
• Proficiency in HR governance, compliance and data analytics.
• Ability to develop talent pipelines and succession plans.
