General Manager – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The General Manager will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for The Ritz-Carlton, Astana, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, employee engagement, brand excellence, and sustained financial performance. This executive role is responsible for driving all aspects of hotel operations, commercial strategy, and owner relations while fostering a high‑performance culture aligned with the brand’s Gold Standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall vision, strategy, and execution for the hotel, driving revenue growth, profitability, and asset value enhancement.
• Ensure flawless execution of The Ritz‑Carlton brand standards across all departments and deliver exceptional luxury service experiences.
• Drive commercial performance across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, Meetings & Events, and ancillary revenue streams.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Distribution teams to maximize market penetration and profitability.
• Inspire, develop, and retain a diverse leadership team while championing a people‑first culture.
• Achieve budgeted revenues, GOP, EBITDA, and owner return objectives through effective financial management.
• Build trusted relationships with ownership, Marriott International leadership, community stakeholders, and local partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Hotel General Manager within a luxury or upper‑luxury environment.
• Proven leadership experience with internationally recognized luxury brands.
• Strong record of delivering exceptional guest satisfaction and financial performance.
• Previous General Manager or senior executive experience with The Ritz‑Carlton or similar luxury brands highly preferred.
• English required; Russian language skills advantageous.
