Experienced Associate – Transaction Services

About the role

We are looking for an Experienced Associate (A2) to join PwC’s Transaction Services team in Almaty. The role supports clients through mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and capital market transactions, providing data‑driven insights that help maximise deal value.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple client engagements while reporting to senior team members.
• Coach and lead junior staff throughout the engagement.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders.
• Collaborate on financial and operational due diligence, transaction support and value‑capture analysis.
• Lead planning activities, data requests, management discussions, client workshops and deliverables.
• Identify potential deal breakers, post‑deal issues and opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Participate in business development by researching new opportunities and strengthening the PwC brand.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management or Mathematics.
• 1–2 years of experience in external audit, corporate finance, financial reporting or transaction support.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Kazakh, English and Russian.
• Can‑do attitude, ability to meet tight deadlines and synthesize large volumes of information.
• Professional client interaction, high integrity and strong work ethic.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with AI/GenAI tools.
• Knowledge of IFRS.
• ACCA or CFA candidacy or membership (advantage).
