Chief Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function of inVision. The role involves organizing and maintaining all accounting and tax records, ensuring compliance with Kazakh legislation, and providing reliable financial information to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enforce the organization’s accounting policies and oversee accurate recording of all business transactions.
• Prepare and submit mandatory financial, tax, statistical and other regulatory reports on time.
• Monitor financial discipline, cash flow, and the efficient use of material, labor and financial resources.
• Ensure correct calculation and timely payment of taxes, fees and insurance contributions, and liaise with tax authorities.
• Lead the accounting department, allocate tasks, supervise staff performance and promote professional development.
• Implement internal financial controls, mitigate tax and financial risks, and contribute to internal regulations.
• Provide management with accurate financial analysis, support budgeting and financial planning, and assist in contract preparation.
• Safeguard accounting documents, manage archival storage and protect confidential information.

Required profile

• Higher education in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Professional accountant and tax consultant certifications.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a senior or chief accountant role.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Republic of Kazakhstan tax legislation (VAT, corporate income tax, simplified tax regimes).

Required skills

• Expertise in Kazakh tax legislation (VAT, corporate income tax, insurance contributions).
