Audit Associate – Core Audit (Almaty)

About the role

PwC is seeking an Audit Associate to join its Core Audit team in Almaty. The role involves supporting the audit of financial statements, assessing internal controls and ensuring compliance with regulations. The position starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to work with a diverse team of problem‑solvers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing financial statement audits to obtain reasonable assurance of accuracy.
• Gather and evaluate evidence, validate data and perform analytical procedures.
• Document audit findings and contribute to the preparation of the auditor’s report.
• Collaborate with team members, share feedback and suggest improvements to audit processes.
• Follow risk management, compliance procedures and stay updated on technical developments.

Required profile

• Higher education in accounting, finance, economics or mathematics.
• Strong academic performance (GPA ≥ 3.0 on a 4‑point scale).
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Team player with good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Commitment to ethical standards and continuous learning.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
