Analyst, Accounting & External Reporting – Indirect Tax

About the role

Join Mondelēz International as an Analyst focused on Accounting and External Reporting for Indirect Tax. You will ensure compliance with local indirect taxes such as VAT, GST, sales tax and excise tax, and support accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain control procedures over the entire tax process.
• Coordinate with third‑party service providers to prepare, submit and reconcile tax forms (VAT, transport tax, emissions, statistical reports, etc.).
• Interact with regulatory authorities, respond to audit requests and prepare supporting documentation.
• Participate in month‑end closing, posting and verifying tax‑related transactions.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and internal tax controls.
• Monitor legislative changes and ensure documentation complies with Kazakhstani tax, civil and other regulations.

Required profile

• Higher education in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Strong knowledge of local indirect tax regulations and GAAP.
• Experience with policy, controls and compliance design, including SOX reporting.
• Ability to work independently and support audits.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Understanding of financial systems used for tax reporting.
