Senior Architecture Engineer – Structural Design

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Architecture Senior Engineer to join its Atyrau office. The role involves leading structural analysis and design for concrete and steel projects, ensuring compliance with RoK standards and Eurocodes, and supporting multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Perform computer‑aided and manual structural analysis and design for all types of concrete and steel structures.
• Design concrete foundations in line with RoK standards and Eurocodes.
• Collaborate with the CSA group and other disciplines to clarify design requirements and optimise solutions.
• Review and mentor calculations and designs produced by junior engineers.
• Contribute to Basis of Design documents, design reports, FEED studies, job packs and material requisitions.
• Sign off drawings and key documents, produce CTRs, and conduct site surveys and inspections as needed.
• Provide technical guidance, evaluate vendor bids, and support technical bid preparation.

Required profile

• Higher technical education in engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
• Proficient use of engineering software and calculation templates.
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards (Eurocodes) and regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to apply advanced engineering principles and provide sound technical judgment.
