QA Automation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join the inDrive team in Kazakhstan. In this role you will work on mobile and backend testing, collaborating closely with engineering, product and analytics to ensure high‑quality releases across our core services.

Key responsibilities

• Build and evolve testing frameworks, migrating legacy systems to modern technologies.
• Design, maintain and monitor QA tools and infrastructure, including alerting for rapid issue detection.
• Develop and document manual testing strategies, test cases and quality metrics.
• Track quality indicators in Tableau and automate routine tasks using Zapier, Jira Automation and AI assistants.
• Partner with TechOps and other teams to implement quality management processes and improve testing workflows.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience as a QA Automation Engineer.
• At least 1 year of mobile app testing experience on iOS and Android.
• Proactive engineering mindset with a focus on process improvement.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills within cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Automated testing tools: Appium, Selenium, Kotlin, Java.
• Mobile testing: iOS, Android, emulators, traffic sniffing.
• API testing with Postman and database CRUD operations.
• Command‑line proficiency: Bash, Zsh.
• Version control and collaboration: Git, GitHub, Jira, Slack.
• Test management: TestOps, Tableau, Zapier, Jira Automation.
