Power Project Engineer

About the role

The Power Project Engineer will lead the technical execution of a high‑value coal power plant project in Semey, ensuring quality, compliance and safety throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate technical assessments and feasibility studies during the proposal phase, integrating multidisciplinary contributions.
• Oversee technical delivery, monitor progress against milestones, and adjust plans to meet project goals.
• Lead the engineering team, assign tasks, and collaborate with subcontractors and the Discipline Manager.
• Implement quality control measures, enforce compliance with standards, and address safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, prepare reports and presentations for client review.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and mentorship to junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in technical projects, with at least 1‑5 years managing projects using established PM methodologies.
• Previous experience as a Process Engineer or Mechanical Engineer.
• Fluent in Russian and English, both written and spoken.
