Network Engineer – IT Services (KZ passport holders)

About the role

We are seeking a Network Engineer to support WoodKSS’s business in Kazakhstan, delivering IT services and ensuring robust network and infrastructure operations. The role involves establishing IT policies, managing hardware and software assets, and coordinating with senior stakeholders to maintain service continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Support WoodKSS business in Kazakhstan to deliver IT services with Wood IT support.
• Establish and maintain IT policies, procedures and standards.
• Manage hardware and software inventory, procurement, audits and compliance.
• Ensure IT hardware and software are up‑to‑date, modern and fit for purpose.
• Oversee hardware and software upgrades and disposal of outdated equipment.
• Manage printing services providers to ensure continuity across all offices.
• Monitor IT infrastructure, assess risks and implement Business Continuity or Service Resumption plans.
• Facilitate regular communication between senior stakeholders, IT function and leadership.
• Support local business with IT demand planning, hardware purchases and bid assistance.
• Promote IT awareness initiatives and enforce IT security protocols.
• Deliver IT inductions for new personnel and refresher training for existing staff.

Required profile

• Higher technical education (e.g., degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field).
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a comparable network engineering position.
• Hold a Kazakhstan passport (KZ passport holder).
