Network Engineer – Connectivity Specialist

About the role

The Connectivity Engineer will be the on‑site expert at the client’s factory, acting as the primary point of contact for all connectivity‑related issues. While not configuring devices directly, deep knowledge of network operations is essential for troubleshooting and incident resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage IT network, telecommunications, and on‑premise server infrastructure (≈70% network, 20% server, 10% other IT duties).
• Create logical network designs and physical layouts for network and server infrastructure.
• Develop and implement security patching schedules and policies for network and hosting equipment.
• Proactively monitor network status, capacity, and performance.
• Coordinate with network, telecom, server, and data‑cabling providers to resolve operational issues.
• Lead or participate in global and local IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with guidelines.
• Work with local IT service vendors/partners to maintain availability and performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related field (or current study in a similar area).
• 2–3 years of experience in infrastructure network/telecom domains.
• Strong understanding of network and hosting hardware, virtualization (Hyper‑V), and server concepts.
• Experience with Cisco LAN/WLAN/WAN, VLAN segregation, and network security (Cisco, Palo Alto).
• Familiarity with ITIL methodology and ServiceNow (SNOW) is a plus.
• Ability to produce network and hosting diagrams, HLD/LLD documentation, and technical standards.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills; self‑starter who can work independently or in a team.
• CCNA certification preferred; additional networking, server or firewall certifications are a plus.
