Local Marketing Manager

About the role

The Local Marketing Manager drives the execution of the brand’s marketing strategy within a defined region. Acting as the bridge between the central Marketing Business Unit and local points of sale, the role ensures that in‑store execution, promotional activities and market intelligence are aligned with corporate objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular field visits to audit product availability, branding, planogram compliance and competitor activity at points of sale.
• Monitor promotional execution and trade‑investment compliance against approved mechanics and service‑level agreements.
• Coordinate with regional sales managers, distributors and local vendors on the production and placement of POS materials.
• Organise local activations, events and point‑of‑sale loyalty programmes.
• Prepare and submit standardized KPI reports, in‑store insights and optimisation recommendations.
• Maintain brand consistency across all regional touchpoints.
• Manage the local marketing budget and timelines within the approved plan.

Required profile

• Proven experience in trade or local marketing, promotion management and merchandising.
• Ability to interpret market data (e.g., Nielsen, internal analytics) and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
• Strong negotiation skills with points of sale, distributors and local vendors.
• Disciplined reporting habits, comfortable working with standardized formats and deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field.
• Knowledge of the local language and regional market specifics is a plus.
