Health & Safety Officer for inVision Campus

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Health & Safety Officer to build and lead the safety function for the inVision campus, covering academic buildings, laboratories, dormitories and off‑site events. You will ensure a safe environment for approximately 130 students and staff by developing policies, delivering training and managing risks.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain the HSE system, policies and instructions in line with Kazakhstan’s Labor Code.
• Conduct workplace risk assessments, obtain SOUT certification and handle mandatory HSE reporting and inspections.
• Deliver safety trainings, inductions for employees and safety briefings for students in academic and laboratory settings.
• Manage PPE issuance, usage monitoring and regular safety audits across all facilities.
• Oversee fire safety compliance, evacuation plans and organize emergency drills.
• Coordinate facility operations, maintenance, consumables supply and ensure proper engineering systems.
• Manage vendor and contractor relationships, from scope definition to contract negotiation and work acceptance.

Required profile

• Higher education in a technical, engineering or occupational health and safety field.
• 3–5 years of HSE experience, preferably building an HSE function from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan’s Labor Code, fire safety regulations and SOUT procedures.
• Relevant certifications (HSE Specialist, fire‑technical minimum, first aid, civil defence, electrical safety) – held or obtainable promptly.
