Fixed Assets Accountant

About the role

The Fixed Assets Accountant will be responsible for accurate accounting, monitoring and reporting of fixed assets for the Mirny project, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local regulations. The role also includes treasury‑related duties such as cash management, banking operations and liquidity oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the fixed assets register in line with IFRS and Kazakhstani requirements.
• Review CAPEX documentation, perform capitalization, transfers, disposals and adjustments.
• Calculate and post depreciation, impairment and monitor construction‑in‑progress.
• Participate in annual asset and inventory counts and support internal/external audits.
• Monitor daily cash balances, execute payments and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts, ensure compliance with currency‑control regulations and liaise with the TotalEnergies Treasury team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting and treasury functions.
• Knowledge of IFRS (IAS 16, IAS 23) and local statutory regulations.
• Proficiency in English, Russian and Kazakh.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
