SAP Cloud Platform Developer

About the role

You are a curious, persistent and logical techie looking to grow professionally. Join EPAM as an SAP Cloud Platform Developer and work remotely in Kazakhstan, with the option to use offices in Astana, Almaty or Karaganda.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and specify business requirements.
• Perform modelling, design, implementation and testing based on SAP programming model and processes.
• Collaborate with other development teams and product‑management specialists.
• Mentor junior engineers on software design, coding practices and TDD strategies.
• Instill and promote best practices such as Cloud‑Native Development and Live Site First.
• Participate in Agile (Scrum) development cycles within a Scrum team.
• Deliver high‑quality design, development and delivery results throughout short development and release cycles.

Required profile

• Proficiency in at least one language: JAVA, JS, ABAP/4, NodeJS or C++.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as SAP Cloud Platform, Google Cloud, AWS, Azure or Cloud Foundry.
• Clear understanding of SAP Cloud Platform (Cloud Foundry) services.
• Proven ability to build scalable web applications or cloud services using technologies like jQuery, Server‑Side JS, REST and OData.
• DevOps mindset with ownership of the deployment lifecycle.

Required skills

• Knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) – a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP system functionality and SAP Fiori UX principles – a plus.
• Understanding of SAP side‑by‑side extensibility (SAP Cloud Application Programming Model, SAP Cloud SDK) – a plus.
