Financial Controller (Karaganda)

About the role

FLSmidth LLP is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Financial Controller based in Karaganda to oversee all financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS using the Group system OneStream.
• Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Oversee external audits and ensure all financial records are audit‑ready.
• Provide financial analysis and guidance on specific financial activities, plans, and targets.
• Ensure compliance with FLSmidth's global financial policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including 3–5 years as a financial controller or similar role.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast‑paced, international environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with IFRS reporting standards.
• Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., 1 C 8.3).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong English language proficiency.
