Director, Consumer & Shopper Insights – Caucasus & Central Asia

About the role

The Director, Consumer and Shopper Insights and Portfolio Management will lead the development of deep consumer and shopper understanding across the Caucasus and Central Asia region. Reporting within the Eurasia Middle East Operating Unit (EME OU), the role combines human sciences, data analytics and advanced modelling to drive consumer‑centric growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own the art and science of local consumer and shopper insights, covering needs, behaviours, rituals and decision journeys.
• Lead human‑science foresight projects and future‑scenario planning to anticipate cultural and consumption shifts.
• Direct shopper‑science initiatives that improve conversion, in‑store excellence and path‑to‑purchase growth.
• Support portfolio decisions for each market and define the regional research, analytics and modelling agenda.
• Deploy OU‑wide intelligence platforms and new technologies to ensure consumer‑centricity.
• Collaborate with frontline and local category teams to assess performance and drive superior outcomes.
• Engage with the OU network to ensure rigor, coordination, collaboration and up‑skilling.
• Lead a team of three talent‑researchers (or act as an individual contributor in other regions).

Required profile

• 10+ years of marketing leadership experience with a strong focus on insights, analytics, human sciences and market research.
• Broad acumen across innovation, creative strategy, design, brand positioning and growth strategy.
• Proven track record leading large, complex, cross‑functional and cross‑geographical teams and projects.
• Experience delivering projects that leverage digital, data and AI as competitive edges.
• Demonstrated ability to develop internal teams and manage external partners.
• Growth‑mindset, curiosity, and a servant‑leadership approach.
