Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Accountant to join our team in Almaty, Kazakhstan. As a key member of the finance department, you will maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and process month‑end and year‑end closing entries.
• Develop and maintain financial reports and statements.
• Reconcile bank statements and perform account analyses.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Familiarity with Kazakhstani accounting standards and regulations.
• Fluency in English and Russian; Kazakh language a plus.
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA) preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with SAP accounting software.
