Senior Associate Counsel – CEMEA (Kazakhstan)

About the role

Visa is seeking a Senior Associate Counsel to join its CEMEA legal team, supporting the company’s value‑added services, products, marketing, commercial and money‑movement, and sourcing functions across the region, with a focus on Kazakhstan.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice to business units on product, marketing, VAS, CMS and sourcing matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and adapt global templates to CEMEA requirements.
• Conduct regulatory and country‑specific assessments for new initiatives and services.
• Coordinate and supervise external counsel to ensure timely delivery.
• Leverage AI tools daily to improve efficiency and resource utilization.

Required profile

• Qualified attorney with experience in technology/payments, marketing/advertising, IP and commercial law.
• Strong commercial risk judgment and ability to understand Visa’s business and contracting models.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced legal drafting and negotiation skills.
• Experience with AI‑enabled legal research or drafting tools.
