Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Senior Specialist

About the role

The Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Senior Specialist ensures that raw materials, finished products, labeling, and packaging meet all applicable laws and regulations. You will monitor legislative changes, manage regulatory databases, and work closely with internal and external partners to prevent and resolve regulatory issues.

Key responsibilities

• Verify compliance of ingredients, formulas, labeling, and packaging with current legislation.
• Confirm that product claims are legally compliant.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess the status of new ingredients and additives.
• Participate in project teams to anticipate and address regulatory challenges.
• Prepare and submit documentation to regulatory agencies to substantiate claims and obtain approvals for new ingredients.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in regulatory affairs for food products.
• Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan and EAEU food legislation.
• Understanding of Codex Alimentarius standards.
• Experience with veterinary products.
• Preferred experience collaborating with trade associations and government agencies.
