Internal Auditor

About the role

The organization seeks a qualified Internal Auditor to assess and improve the effectiveness of its internal control environment, corporate governance, and operational performance. The role involves independent risk evaluation, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and safeguarding company assets.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the adequacy and efficiency of internal controls across financial and operational processes.
• Verify the accuracy, completeness, and objectivity of accounting records and financial reporting.
• Evaluate compliance with national legislation, corporate statutes, and international audit standards.
• Identify risk exposures and recommend corrective actions to senior management.
• Prepare analytical reports and documentation supporting audit findings.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement best practices and improve control mechanisms.

Required profile

• Higher professional education in accounting, audit, finance, economics, or law.
• Minimum five years of experience in audit services or accounting functions.
• Familiarity with Kazakhstan legal framework (Constitution, Civil Code, Labour Code, etc.) and international audit and IFRS standards.
• Relevant professional certifications are advantageous.

Required skills

• Knowledge of International Auditing Standards.
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
