Associate Director / Director – Debt Capital Markets (Central Eurasia)

About the role

Alvarez & Marsal is looking for an Associate Director / Director to lead its Debt Capital Markets (DCM) offering within the Financial Services practice across Central Eurasia. The role will own core client relationships, shape funding strategies and drive end‑to‑end Eurobond and related DCM transactions for banks, corporates and fintechs in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop multi‑instrument funding strategies and roadmaps, selecting instruments, currencies, tenors and investor bases.
• Advise on capital structure optimisation, balancing bonds, loans, private placements and regulatory capital.
• Originate and shape DCM mandates with existing and new clients, coordinating with country and FS leaders.
• Lead end‑to‑end Eurobond execution, from mandate to settlement, including open market and private placements.
• Oversee investor materials, documentation, ratings, listing and settlement workstreams with external advisors.
• Design and manage multi‑workstream project structures, ensuring quality client deliverables.
• Drive implementation of funding strategies, removing obstacles and aligning stakeholders.
• Contribute to DCM methodology, tools and templates and support business development.

Required profile

• 8‑12+ years of experience in DCM, treasury, funding or related capital‑markets roles.
• Proven track record leading Eurobond or other capital‑markets issuances.
• Experience with emerging‑market issuers, preferably in Central Eurasia.
• Fluency in English and Russian; additional regional languages a plus.
• Willingness to travel within the region for origination and execution.
