Technical Director – Oil & Gas Petrochemical

About the role

Wood KSS LLP is seeking an experienced Technical Director to lead technical delivery for its Operations business in Atyrau, Kazakhstan. Reporting to the General Director, you will shape the regional technical strategy, ensure best‑practice implementation and drive continuous improvement across the MEAC service lines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical delivery support and governance for the WoodKSS service line.
• Define and guide growth, development and performance of technical functions in the region.
• Coordinate technical innovation, improvement and learning across teams.
• Act as the primary technical interface between WoodKSS heads of discipline and the MEAC technical directorate.
• Support heads of functions (Engineering, Project Controls, Supply Chain, Risk, Commercial, P&O) to align technical operations with corporate strategy.
• Produce solutions to complex service‑line technical and operational challenges and facilitate lessons‑learned sharing.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.
• Proven senior leadership in technical management and delivery.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across multiple functional areas.
• Ability to maintain high standards of technical integrity and governance.
