TAR Work Preparator & Planner

About the role

The TAR Work Preparator & Planner joins Air Liquide’s Maintenance and Reliability Strategy team at the Kazakhstan site, where hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen are produced. You will be responsible for preparing, updating and supervising work packages for plant turnarounds, ensuring that schedules, resources and contracts are aligned with target dates.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and continuously update work packages for scheduled turnarounds (TARs).
• Participate in turnaround scoping and supervise mechanical scope execution.
• Coordinate with local procurement to contract external suppliers for TAR activities.
• Maintain accurate data in the CMMS (MAXIMO) for job plans, work orders, assets and planned maintenance.
• Optimize contractor numbers, spare‑part requirements and purchase requisitions to meet schedule and cost targets.
• Support internal departments (HSE, Purchase, Production) and report maintenance activity to senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of technical experience in refining, petrochemical or utilities environments.
• High school diploma required; a Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field is preferred.
• Understanding of assembly/disassembly of fixed equipment, piping and valves; refractory work experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Experience using MS Project or similar planning software.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms such as MAXIMO or SAP.
• Basic technical knowledge of rotating machinery, piping, vessels and related equipment.
