Sourcing Engineer

About the role

Xometry is looking for a technically skilled and detail‑oriented Sourcing Engineer to support engineering and sourcing teams. You will evaluate manufacturing projects, connect customer requirements with the right manufacturing capabilities, and help ensure successful project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Assess technical complexity of parts and components by reviewing drawings, specifications and other project documentation.
• Support the sourcing team in identifying suitable manufacturing capabilities and providers for complex projects.
• Review technical content within quotations for completeness and accuracy, and resolve any technical gaps.
• Participate in meetings with clients and manufacturers to clarify requirements and communicate technical information clearly.
• Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, sales and operations teams, sharing knowledge and guiding junior members.

Required profile

• Higher technical education, preferably Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with complex products or components.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, able to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced setting.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English (B1‑B2 level).

Required skills

• Understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of part specifications and component complexity.
